Yeah, the other day I almost killed the wee one. Complete accident, I swear. OK, so maybe I’m being a little over dramatic here but we both got a fright.
A mate was moving...a colleague who got a transfer...he moved yesterday, his girlfriend is going up in a couple of weeks. Anyways when they were packing my mate realised he has loads of toys and things and wondered if my sister’s kids would want them. I said they’d love them. He also asked if I had or wanted a plasma ball. I said I’d always wanted one but always had something else to spend my money on. He said he had one and that it was mine if I wanted...obviously I jumped at the chance.
Through the week my mate dropped off some of the toys...all have never even been opened...and the plasma ball. I LOVE it. It’s huge. I thought it was going to be a little one but it’s pretty big. When I got home, I had something to eat and then thought it best to share out the toys so there was no fighting. They all loved what they got. I then set up the plasma ball. SO COOL!
I shouted on the kids and they thought it was way cool too. The wee one had never seen one so this was like magic to her. It’s all pink and purple and various shades in-between. So very cool. Your finger heats up if you leave it on. I also put my whole hand on which was really weird.
The little one did the same and goes ‘ouch’. She then does it again and I just happen to touch her arm and got a massive shock off her. Her hand and arm hurt a lot. She got a pretty big shock for such a wee thing. Then the other two started to put their whole hand on it because they wanted this to happen to them...crazy! Anyways, the wee one got a big scared but I said that she’d be ok as long as she didn’t put her whole hand on and only kept it on there a short while.
I have no idea if one of those things could kill you but it definitely can give you a massive shock. It clearly says that it’s not a toy and children should be ‘heavily supervised’. I think I know why now. The wee one didn’t get hurt and there’s no damage but it could have been so much worse.
Thankfully I didn’t kill her or myself or the twins but I did get a scare, silly me.
