- I don’t mind if anyone wants to leave a comment on here or on my tagboard to promote their site/blog/business. All I ask is please don’t leave endless links in various older posts on here. At least have the decency to leave a ‘fake’ comment with a link to your site/blog/business. If you leave endless comments with only a link and description of your business on a dozen or so posts using fake names from two IP addresses then you’re messages will be deleted. If your business is doing so poorly you’re doing yourself no favours by trying to promote it this way. And how much time do you have on your hands to be able to go through old posts and do that??? Especially since you have to put in a code before you can send it! I know before when I didn’t have that set up one of those ‘robot’ things would just add endless comments with links to various businesses...at least those had a fake comment like ‘great site’ or ‘love your site’ to try and cover what the comment was really about. The two IP addresses I put into BraveNet.com’s Host Lookup Utility. These were the results... The IP address you entered resolves to: 75.126.13.78.infomart.reverse.dnska.com The IP address you entered resolves to: 62.84.110.97 (IP exists, but does not resolve to a host name) They’ve been blocked and I suspect the people responsible will perhaps do this again with other IP addresses...they’ll get deleted...I don’t mind...I’m online and it only takes a couple of minutes to get rid of them...I know it takes these people longer to post them so waste your time all ya like...I suggest though that you go off and pay to advertise instead of doing it on the cheap. Just makes your business look really bad...why would anyone buy from a site that appears to do stuff on the cheap? Can you imagine how bad the product must be or what state it will be delivered to you? Why would anyone risk it? OK, my rant over. Thanks for reading.

I had that problem one time when I saw that my comments numbers seemed too many to be true. I had to spend an hour or two deleting them across a number of posts and then they didn't come back anymore. Perhaps they realized that my blog isn't so popular to waste their time on. hehhe

I'm not even sure that "people" post these things. I think they have been automated to a large degree.
